Naval Aviator During World War II
Rodney Stich has an unusual background. In December 1940, when he joined the U.S. Navy, after which he became a Naval Aviator instructing in PBY Catalina aircraft and then was designated a Patrol Plane Commander (PPC) in the four-engine Liberator and Privateer aircraft. He was the youngest Patrol Plane Commander during World War II.

His primary airline (due to frequent business-caused furloughs) was
Oakland-based Transocean Airlines, which was features in three Saturday
Evening Post articles calked, "The
Daring Young Men of Transocean Airlines." It was a very unusual
worldwide airline. Pilots would routinely be scheduled for passenger flights
within the United States, throughout the Pacific, and to Europe and the
Middle East. Flights varied from passengers to hauling 1,600 monkeys from
India to the United states for the Salk polio program, flying plane loads of
Muslim pilgrims from, throughout the Middle East to the holy8 cities of
Mecca and Medina; being stuck in Iranian revolutions, and much more. Once
the aircraft left the home base, the captains were on their own, handling
decision-making, route planning, and emergency decisions without company
In his international airline flying, he became involved in numerous interesting experiences. Two of these included flying planeloads of Muslims from throughout the Middle East to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina; and being caught in an Iranian revolution in 1953. Successful Real Estate Investor
While flying for the airlines, and arriving in California in 1951, Stich started investing in real estate, starting with a $500 investment, and motivated by a book popular at that time by William Nickerson, How I Turned $1,000 Into a Million. It involved buying rundown property and then upgrading it, and pyramiding it into a larger property. It was honest, hard work, but paid off.
By 1987, these real estate properties were valued at $10,000. Stich used these assets to fund his years of unusual actions seeking to expose the serious corruption in government that he and his coalition of other former government agents had discovered, which were resulting in a continuing series of harmful consequences. (Through the corrupt actions of a combination of lawyers, California judges, federal judges, and Department of Justice personnel, acting together, these assets were corruptly seized. In2005, their total value was approximately $15 million.)

Stich left the airline industry in 1962 and became a federal airline safety inspector-investigator for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) during period of seemingly endless series of preventable airline disasters. After a year assigned to the Los Angeles offices, he was asked to take an assignment to correct the serious problems responsible for many of the nation's worst aviation disasters. Because of the level of corruption that he found at this assignment, at United Airlines—aided and abetted or fostered by gross incompetence, self-serving interests, and corruption in the FAA hierarchy, that was shocking beyond comprehension, and enabling a seeries of horrific aviation disasters, Stich embarked on a 40-year corruption-exposing task that continues to this day.

Activist against harmful and sometimes deadly corruption in government, from 1965 to the present date. In this role, he relied upon the information and evidence he acquired as a government agent and then private investigator, and upon the information provided to him over the years by a combination of insiders. These insiders included former personnel in such government agencies as the FBI, CIA, ONI, INS, Secret Service, former drug smugglers carrying out drug operations for government personnel such as the CIA, and former Mafia figures. Some of these discoveries were of matters that have inflicted, or enabled to inflict, great harm and catastrophic effects, personal and national, upon the United States and its people. Series of Corruption-Enabling National Tragedies
Stich discovered consequences that were more than overbilling or a lax regulatory oversight. He discovered a practice of hardco4re corruption of key people at United Airlines and even worst by people in higher positions within the government agency responsible for aviation safety. People were repeatedly dying—in a horrific manner—because of the continuing corruption. The criminal nature of the misconduct that Stich discovered in the assignment to halt the continuing series of aviation disasters, and the enormous horror experienced by those who perished, motivated him to take actions that had never before been done, which continued for the next 40 years.
In attempting to circumvent the blocks to exposing corruption in government, he started publishing books in 1978, and simultaneously started appearing on hundreds of radio and TV shows as guest and expert. Today, he has over a dozen non-fiction books and has appeared on over 3,000 radio and TV shows.
The publicity from these activities caused a continuing series of other present and former government agents and other insiders to provide him with information on corruption in other areas of overt and covert government operations. Combined with his knowledge of corruption while a government agent and what he subsequently learned, and what he learned over the years from his many sources, he published books on these matters.

Not Without Risk
Seeking to protect the public from powerful corruption was not without risk. He financed his expensive activist activities using his $10 million in real estate assets. Seeking to halt his exposure actions, a series of bizarre actions were taken against him, starting with a sham lawsuit in 1982 by a CIA-FBI-related law firm, that was barred by law and facts, and continuing until 2005. These tactics are described in the book, History of Aviation Disasters: 1950 to 9/11, and associate the silencing tactics with the effects in a series of major airline disasters.

Stich Was Given Assignment to Halt
The following are a sampling of the airline disasters in programs for which Stich has hands-on airline safety responsibilities. These crashes were enabled to occur by a deep-seated pattern of safety corruption that Stich discovered during his official duties and which he sought to correct. These efforts led to the discovery of other areas of corruption.
The efforts by him to expose what he and his coalition of other insiders had discovered led to decades of brutal attacks upon him, causing his to suffer serious personal and financial harm. He was corruptly stripped of his life assets in an attempt to halt the exposure activities that were funded by these assets.
Several of the nation's most catastrophic airline disasters occurred on the program for which he had direct responsibility as an FAA air carrier operations inspector.

These few examples of the horrors associated with airline disasters enabled to occur by documented corruption withheld from the American people. The standard culture of cover-ups in the United States enabled the corruption, cover-ups, to mutate into different areas. In the aviation area, although the continuing series of airline disasters eventually came to a halt for other reasons, the culture continued, and enabled to occur a number of easily preventable airline disasters. The inbred culture created the conditions that enabled four groups of terrorists to easily hijack four airliners within a few hours of each other and kill nearly 3,000 people.

Conduct of Corrupt U.S. Leaders
In addition to the decades of harm resulting from the systemic corruption of key people and groups in the U.S. government, affecting aviation safety, financial, human rights, in the United States, there is the harm from outside sources brought about by the actions of U.S. politicians affecting people in other countries—such as the history of invading and killing foreigners—there are the successful "terrorist" attacks made possible by high-level corruption, and then there are the foreigners who are also victims from the same high-level corruption that adversely affects the American, but in a different form.

In criminal law, people are accomplices, and guilty, if they know of a criminal act and fail to report it to proper authorities and also to take efforts within their capability to halt their continuation. And there are endless numbers of accomplices that are complicit in these crimes and enablers of the consequences.

U.S. politicians shifting enabling blame from their own corrupt actions that encouraged and enabled four groups of terrorists to simultaneously hijack four airliners, and shift the blame to the people of Iraq and Afghanistan—with the help of a dumbed-down American public that is mostly too lazy to learn the truth.
His Loyal and Constant Companion
Through Very Difficult Times
Throughout a great part of the traumatic attacks upon Stich, he had one very loyal companion, his only loyal companion. He was also physical protection when several of Stich's sources of information were killed or found dead under mysterious circumstances. That companion was Midas, his German Shepherd.
After over ten years of companionship, which provided considerable support to Stich during great personal and financial losses, Midas passed away on April 3, 1997. Unless one had that kind of relationship with a near-human-like four-legged creature, during such difficult times, that bond may be difficult to understand. At Midas' death, grief-stricken Stich wrote a short memorial for Midas:
Good bye, old pal, you've been my closest and most faithful companion for the past ten years, sticking with me through very difficult times. I will always remember my German Shepherd, Midas. Your loving friend, Rodney.
Most Loyal Friend, When Others Scattered
No one can imagine the personal and financial harm that was inflicted continuously, day after day, for many years, upon Stich in an attempt to keep him from exposing the corruption he and his many other insiders sought to report and correct. His friends scattered, afraid to be associated with him. But he had one loyal companion throughout this period, who recognized his feelings, his stress, and his tears:

Joined Later in Life by Another Loyal Companion
In 1994, Stich was joined by another loyal companion, Glenda, also a licensed pilot who received her pilot's license in Oklahoma at the age of 17 in 1951. For eight years they shared their love of flying by many flights throughout the Southwest, including their favorite flight over the length of the Grand Canyon. In 2003, a coronary bypass failed, ending Stich's flying days that started in 1941 in the U.S. navy. The failure of the coronary bypassed resulted in symptoms indicating the end of life was near. A chance discovery of a little-known treatment, EECP, continued what appeared to be an otherwise end to his life. Nearing the End of the Twilight Years
Now nearing the age of 90, nearing the end of his life, Stich continues the fight against the arrogance and corruption in government, and the legal attacks from the legal fraternity that continues its efforts to silence him. He faces an uglier enemy than any he faced in World War II.On April 11, 2009, Stich was 86 years young−and still fighting the impossible quest!
At his funeral, Stich would like to have played, The Impossible Dream from the movie, Man of La Mancha:
To dream the impossible dream, to fight the unbeatable foe, to bear with unbearable sorrow,
To run where the brave dare not go, to right the unrightable wrong, to love pure and chaste from afar, to try when your arms are too weary, to reach the unreachable star,
This is my quest, to follow that star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far, to fight for the right, without question or pause, to be willing to march into Hell, for a heavenly cause,
And I know if I'll only be true, to this glorious quest, that my heart will lie peaceful and calm, when I'm laid to my rest, and the world will be better for this, that one man, scorned and covered with scars, still strove with his last ounce of courage, to reach the unreachable star.
Corny, maybe, but that is how he wants to believe that life can be.
